About the product

Description

An alpha 2-adrenoceptor agonist is indicated for the topical management of open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. (J C Adkins, 1998) A topical ocular medicine that lowers intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma. (Federica Conti, 2021) Effectively lowers ocular pressure and protects retinal ganglion cells in glaucoma patients. (Wendi S Lambert, 2011) Reduces aqueous humour production and increases aqueous humour outflow via the uveoscleral pathway. (J C Adkins, 1998) A promising alternative option for the lowering of intraocular pressure in the management of open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension. (J C Adkins, 1998) A beneficial therapy particularly in patients with cardiopulmonary disease in whom topical beta-adrenoceptor antagonist therapy is contraindicated. (J C Adkins, 1998) A highly appropriate first- and second-line therapy for long-term management of glaucoma and ocular hypertension. (Cantor, 2000) A well-tolerated agent that provides a sustained long-term ocular hypotensive effect, and has a low rate of allergic response. (J S Schuman, 1997) A well-tolerated, safe, and statistically more effective than betaxolol 0.25% eye suspension in lowering intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. (Serle, 1996) Produces greater decrease in intraocular pressure and is more effective in patients than dorzolamide 2% as adjunctive therapy to beta-blockers in adult patients with glaucoma or ocular hypertension. (S T Simmons, 2001)
