Description

A fixed-dose combination inhalation agent that treats wheezing, shortness of breath, coughing, and chest tightness caused by chronic obstructive pulmonary disease Improves lung function and asthma symptoms to a greater extent than monotherapy with inhaled corticosteroids such as fluticasone propionate. (Kate McKeage, 2009) Relaxes and opens air passages in the lungs, making breathing easier. A well-tolerated and effective agent in achieving asthma control. (M Aubier, 1999) An effective, well-tolerated, and cost-effective option for the maintenance treatment of individuals with asthma. (Neil A Reynolds, 2005) Represents a cost-effective treatment option in patients with asthma not controlled with inhaled corticosteroid therapy. (Katherine A Lyseng-Williamson, 2003) More effective than salmeterol at reducing the rate of moderate to severe exacerbations over 1 year. (Gary T Ferguson, 2008) Significantly more effective in improving morning peak expiratory flow and asthma symptoms and decreases exacerbation rates than oral montelukast.
