About the product
An inhaled corticosteroid/long-acting beta (2)-adrenoceptor agonist combination therapy for patients with uncontrolled, persistent asthma. (Paul L McCormack, 2007) A dry powder inhaler that improves breathing difficulties and reduces the number of flare-ups. Improves both symptoms as well as lung function and reduces exacerbation risk in asthma and COPD patients. (Donald P. Tashkin, 2019) Formoterol reduces symptoms of nocturnal asthma and reduces the need for rescue medication compared with salbutamol. (R A Bartow, 1998) A promising approach in patients with persistent asthma not adequately controlled by a short-acting beta (2)-adrenoceptor agonist alone. (Paul L McCormack, 2007) Provides asthma control significantly greater than the monotherapies in moderate to severe persistent asthma previously receiving inhaled corticosteroids. (Michael Noonan, 2006) Controls wheezing, shortness of breath, and chest tightness caused by chronic obstructive pulmonary disease A potent bronchodilator with a fast onset of action and a longer duration of broncholytic effect. (Ceylan, 2006) Inhibits the activities of a wide range of inflammatory cells such as eosinophils, T lymphocytes, mast cells, macrophages, dendritic cells, and neutrophils. (Ceylan, 2006) Provides a meaningful improvement in COPD patients’ health-related quality of life. (Ceylan, 2006) Exhibits anti-inflammatory properties by acting on several inflammatory mediators (histamine, leukotrienes, eicosanoids, cytokines) and cell types (mast cells, eosinophils, lymphocytes, macrophages). (O’Connor, 2011) An effective candidate that lessens inflammation and decreases airway hyperresponsiveness. (O’Connor, 2011) More effective than the inhaled corticosteroids, budesonide, and fluticasone alone. (Buhl, 2003)
