A class of medicine called 'diuretics' (water pills) helps to reduce fluid build-up (edema) in the body. (J Yasky, 1986) Demonstrates a significant and sustained reduction in blood pressure in patients with mild-to-moderate essential hypertension. (A E Birbari, 1987) Helps to lower high blood pressure, reducing the chances of heart attack or stroke Reduces the workload on the heart and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Promotes sodium and water excretion and potassium retention. (J D Horisberger, 1987) A potent medication regimen that positively impacts the heart's ability to pump blood efficiently.
