An anxiolytic drug that is used for short-term treatment of insomnia, anxiety, and panic attacks. (V. Kolbe, 2020) Possesses anxiolytic, anticonvulsant, hypnotic, sedative, amnesic and muscle-relaxant properties. (V. Kolbe, 2020) Produces significant improvement in anxiety and depressive symptoms, particularly somatic manifestations in generalized anxiety disorder subjects. (M Casacchia, 1990) Shows a more marked antidepressant effect than alprazolam or bromazepam in patients with generalized anxiety disorder.
