About the product

Description

A nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug and analgesic agent is used for the management of a number of inflammatory and pain states. (Bethesda (MD), 2012) Blocks the formation of prostaglandins that are important in pain and inflammatory pathways. (Bethesda (MD), 2012) Has a rapid onset of action with analgesic, antipyretic, and anti-inflammatory activities. (Bethesda (MD), 2012) A well-tolerated and effective alternative to other NSAIDs in the short-term treatment of pain and inflammation of osteoarthritis and various other causes. (R Davis, 1994) Provides statistically significant improvement in pain intensity in osteoarthritis of the hip patients as that of naproxen (500mg twice daily) for 4 weeks. (M Quattrini, 1995) A safe regimen for use in infants and children as it is more effective than paracetamol as an antipyretic agent. (P K Goyal, 1998) Demonstrates superior gastrointestinal tolerability as compared to naproxen, etodolac, and diclofenac for the treatment of osteoarthritis. (E C Huskisson, 2001) A good therapeutic choice for the long-term treatment of osteoarthritis. (E C Huskisson, 2001) More effective than piroxicam (in osteoarthritis), paracetamol [in respiratory tract inflammation], benzydamine or naproxen (in otorhinolaryngological disease), phenylprenazone (in laryngotracheitis/bronchitis, respiratory inflammation, and otorhinolaryngological disease), Serratia peptidases (in postoperative or dental pain, trauma, and phlebitis), ketoprofen (in postoperative dental pain) and mefenamic acid (in dysmenorrhoea). (A Ward, 1988)
