DESCRIPTION
Terbutaline:
Terbutaline is a bronchodilator medicine that is used to relieve symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, breathing difficulties, coughing etc. associated with asthma. It is used to treat an acute attack of asthma as well as for prevention of further asthma attacks. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 6 years of age.
Bromhexine:
Bromhexine is a mucolytic agent which reduces the thickness of sputum. It is used to treat conditions with abnormal mucus secretion such as a common cold, infections of the respiratory tract, influenza, etc. to allow the patient to breathe freely and deeply. It should be used with caution in patients with a known history of gastric ulcers due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects.
Guaifenesin:
Guaifenesin is an expectorant that is used in the treatment of a cough. This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients less than 2 years of age and only under the supervision of your doctor.
Menthol:
Menthol is a covalent organic compound made synthetically or obtained from peppermint or other mint oils. Forming clear or white waxy, crystalline substance, menthol is typically solid at room temperature. (-)-Menthol is the naturally-occurring and main form of menthol, and is assigned the (1R,2S,5R) configuration. Menthol mediates anesthetic properties and anti-irritating properties locally, thus it is widely used to relieve minor throat irritations

INDICATION
Terbutaline:
For the prevention and reversal of bronchospasm in patients 12 years of age and older with reversible, obstructive airway disease, as well as symptomatic management of reversible bronchospasm associated with bronchitis and emphysema. Also used acute IV and sub-Q therapy in selected women to inhibit uterine contractions in preterm labor (tocolysis) and prolong gestation when beneficial.
Guaifenesin:
Guaifenesin is an expectorant that is indicated for providing temporary symptomatic relief from congested chests and coughs which may be due to a cold, bronchitis, and/or other breathing illnesses
Menthol:
Used to treat occasional minor irritation, pain, sore mouth, and sore throat as well as cough associated with a cold or inhaled irritants.
