CLOTRIMAZOLE 1.0%w/v IP + BECLOMETHASONE 0.025%w/v IP

Clotrimazole 1% w/v and beclomethasone dipropionate 0.025% w/v lotion. Clotrimazole, an imidazole antifungal, damages the fungal cell membrane and acts on dermatophytes (ringworm fungi), Candida and Malassezia. Beclomethasone, a corticosteroid, reduces redness, itching and swelling. The steroid relieves inflammation quickly while the antifungal treats the infection. A thin layer is applied to the affected area and a small margin of surrounding skin. Meant for short courses, and not for use on the face, under tight dressings or for long periods.
