An antibiotic PCD franchise gives you monopoly rights to market an antibiotic PCD company's anti-infective range in your district. Vibcare Pharma supplies 190+ oral anti-infectives – cefixime, cefpodoxime and cefuroxime in every strength and combination, amoxycillin-clavulanate, azithromycin, ofloxacin and levofloxacin combinations, antifungals, anthelmintics and antimalarials – in tablets, dry syrups and suspensions, made at a WHO-GMP plant, with no franchise fee and a written area letter.

Why the Antibiotic Segment Pays Back

Antibiotics are the highest-frequency prescription in Indian general practice. Fever, throat and chest infection, urinary infection, typhoid, diarrhoea, skin and dental infection – every GP, paediatrician, ENT, dentist and gynaecologist writes an anti-infective several times a day, and every chemist counter stocks them. No other segment gives a new distributor the same number of prescriptions per doctor per day.

The economics are simple but the segment has two traps. First, the plain molecules – amoxycillin, cefixime, azithromycin, ofloxacin – are NLEM products with ceiling prices, so the margin is in the combinations and the paediatric dry syrups, not the plain strips. Second, the fast-movers must never go out of stock; a doctor who writes your cefixime-clavulanate today and finds it missing at the chemist tomorrow moves to another brand and does not come back. An antibiotic PCD company has to hold depth in the top 20 SKUs, not just breadth across 190.

Your prescriber base is the widest in pharma:

  • General physicians and family doctors, for respiratory, urinary and enteric infections
  • Paediatricians, for dry syrups, suspensions and dispersible tablets
  • ENT surgeons and dentists, for amoxycillin-clavulanate and cefuroxime
  • Gynaecologists, for vaginal infection kits and urinary antibiotics
  • Surgeons, for post-operative oral cover
  • Chemists, for OTC-adjacent antifungals and anthelmintics
Margin. Vibcare's published margin range across divisions is 20–50%. On non-scheduled anti-infectives – cefixime-clavulanate, cefixime-ofloxacin, cefpodoxime-clavulanate, cefuroxime-clavulanate, ofloxacin-ornidazole, levofloxacin-ornidazole, the lactic-acid-bacillus variants, H. pylori and vaginal infection kits, itraconazole and albendazole-ivermectin – the distributor's net margin typically sits in the upper half. On NLEM molecules the ceiling price caps the spread, so volume, not margin per strip, is the reason to stock them.
One caveat, stated upfront. Plain amoxycillin, amoxycillin-clavulanate 625, cefixime, azithromycin, ofloxacin, ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin, clarithromycin, doxycycline, fluconazole 150 and albendazole are National List of Essential Medicines molecules; the scheduled strengths carry a government-fixed ceiling price and our catalogue marks them. Second, cefixime, cefpodoxime, levofloxacin and faropenem are Schedule H1 drugs – the pack carries the red H1 box and the chemist records each sale in the Schedule H1 register. Neither changes what you can sell; both change how you price and how the chemist handles it. Every DPCO and H1 item is flagged on the net-rate list you receive. An antibiotic PCD company that does not flag them before you order is not being straight with you.

The Vibcare Antibiotic Product Range

Brand names, strengths and pack sizes below are from the live catalogue; each brand links to its product page with MRP, PTR and PTS. The same molecule is listed under more than one division brand – cefixime as Cefvib, and under the AUSPIN, EVERMED and MEDANOR names – which is what lets neighbouring districts hold different brands. PRIMA brands are shown here; the full list is at vibcare.co.in/products.

Cephalosporins 70 SKUs

The largest sub-range. Cefixime in plain, dispersible, film-coated, clavulanate, ofloxacin and lactic-acid-bacillus forms with matching dry syrups; cefpodoxime in the same pattern; cefuroxime plain and with clavulanate. Depth in this line is what keeps a GP on your brand.

What You Get with an Antibiotic PCD Franchise

Written monopoly area letter

You name the district or tehsil. We check availability and issue an area-allotment letter on Vibcare letterhead. No other distributor is appointed for the anti-infective range in that area while you keep ordering. Turnaround time for the letter is confirmed when you enquire.

Net rates and margins

You buy at net rate and set your own PTR and PTS. Published margins across Vibcare divisions run 20–50%; the combinations and dry syrups typically land in the upper half after scheme, and DPCO items are flagged on the list because the ceiling price caps the spread. Before you order, run your numbers on the free PTR/PTS calculator. Around 60,000 chemists use it each quarter.

Free promotional inputs

Every antibiotic order ships with inputs at no charge:

  • Visual aid covering the anti-infective range
  • LBLs (leave-behind literature) per brand
  • Physician samples of the fast-movers
  • Reminder cards for the patient's file
  • MR bags for your field staff

Ask for extra samples of the fast-movers on your first order; we will tell you which ones they are for your region.

Minimum order, payment, dispatch

There is no franchise fee and no security deposit. Minimum order value and payment terms for an antibiotic-only start are confirmed on WhatsApp before you commit. Across divisions, first orders typically fall between ₹50,000 and ₹2,00,000 depending on how many prescribers you cover. Orders confirmed by afternoon are dispatched the same day from Panchkula. Ask us in writing how stock shortages on the cefixime and amoxycillin-clavulanate lines are handled before you order; we will answer in writing.

Manufacturing source and COA

Vibcare Pharma Pvt Ltd was registered in 2013 and has been trading since 2015. Our HQ is at Plot 4, HSIIDC IT Park, Sector 22, Panchkula, Haryana, near Baddi. The oral anti-infective range – tablets, capsules, dry syrups and suspensions – is made at our WHO-GMP certified site (Certificate No. 1/182-1Drug-I-2024; licences MLF252023HR000004/5). We are ISO 9001:2015 certified.

Honest disclosure: injectable antibiotics – ceftriaxone, cefoperazone-sulbactam, piperacillin-tazobactam, meropenem, amikacin – are made at a third-party WHO-GMP unit and are covered on the injectable PCD franchise page, as are our ophthalmic and NURALZ ayurvedic ranges. Every batch, in-house or third-party, ships with its certificate of analysis. Ask for the COA on any product before you order; we will send it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum investment for a Vibcare antibiotic PCD franchise?

There is no franchise fee and no security deposit. Your only investment is the first stock order. Across divisions, first orders usually fall between ₹50,000 and ₹2,00,000; an antibiotic-only start is confirmed on WhatsApp before you commit. Use the free PTR/PTS calculator to plan your margin before ordering.

Which antibiotics are under DPCO, and how does that affect my margin?

Plain amoxycillin, amoxycillin-clavulanate 625, cefixime, azithromycin, ofloxacin, ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin, clarithromycin, doxycycline, fluconazole 150 and albendazole are NLEM molecules with a government-fixed ceiling price on the scheduled strengths, so margin on those SKUs is capped. The combinations – cefixime-clavulanate, cefixime-ofloxacin, cefpodoxime-clavulanate, ofloxacin-ornidazole, the LB variants, H. pylori and vaginal infection kits – and molecules such as itraconazole and faropenem are priced normally. Every DPCO item is flagged on the net-rate list you receive.

Antibiotic PCD company se monopoly kaise milti hai, aur kya ek district ke liye milegi?

Haan. Aap apna district ya tehsil batayein, hum availability check karke written area-allotment letter dete hain. Letter ka time enquiry par confirm hota hai. Uske baad us area mein Vibcare ka anti-infective range koi aur distributor nahi bechta. Aap chahein toh baad mein area badha sakte hain.

What does Schedule H1 mean for an antibiotic distributor?

Schedule H1 covers third-generation cephalosporins such as cefixime and cefpodoxime, newer quinolones such as levofloxacin, and faropenem. The pack carries a red H1 box, the drug is sold only against prescription, and the chemist records each sale – patient, prescriber, drug and quantity – in a Schedule H1 register kept for three years. As a distributor you supply licensed chemists and hospitals in the normal way under your wholesale licence; the register is the chemist's job. H1 items are flagged on our net-rate list.

Which paediatric forms are in the antibiotic range?

Cefixime, cefpodoxime, cefixime-ofloxacin, cefixime-LB and amoxycillin-clavulanate come as dry syrups, listed in the catalogue in both standard and WFR packs; azithromycin, albendazole and the ofloxacin combinations come as ready suspensions; cefixime and amoxycillin-clavulanate also come as dispersible and kid tablets. The paediatric line is covered in full on the paediatric PCD franchise page.

Can I take the antibiotic range alone, or must I take the full Vibcare range?

You can start with the anti-infective range alone. Many distributors begin with cefixime, amoxycillin-clavulanate, azithromycin and ofloxacin-ornidazole plus the paediatric dry syrups, then add the antifungal and H. pylori kits once GPs and paediatricians are converted. Your monopoly letter covers the products you take; adding a division later is a simple request.
