About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Cedovib CV is a tablet taken by mouth. Every tablet carries Cefuroxime Axetil 500 mg and Clavulanic Acid 125 mg. The medicine falls in the class of cephalosporin antibacterial drugs combined with a beta-lactamase inhibitor. It is packed as 10x1x6 (Alu Alu) and is offered from Vibcare Pharma's Prima division.

How it works

The tablet brings two ingredients together. Cefuroxime Axetil is a cephalosporin antibiotic that interferes with the bacterial cell wall, so susceptible bacteria are unable to multiply. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor; it neutralises enzymes that some bacteria produce to defend themselves, which helps cefuroxime keep its activity against those organisms.

Used for

Cedovib CV is used for bacterial infections such as pharyngitis and tonsillitis, acute bacterial maxillary sinusitis, acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, uncomplicated skin and skin-structure infections and uncomplicated urinary tract infections caused by susceptible bacteria.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
