Read our full guide: Cefixime: uses, dose, side effects and brands
Coming from Vibcare Pharma's Prima division, Cefvib LB is a tablet that contains Cefixime 200 mg and Lactic Acid Bacillus 60 Million Spores. It falls in the antibiotic and anti-infective (antibacterial) class. The product is packed as 10x10 (Alu Alu).
The tablet works through two parts. Cefixime, a cephalosporin antibiotic, blocks the formation of bacterial cell walls, which keeps the bacteria from growing and helps the body deal with the infection. Lactic Acid Bacillus is a probiotic that supplies friendly bacteria to the gut, supporting the normal balance of gut bacteria during antibiotic therapy.
This product is prescribed for bacterial infections like uncomplicated urinary tract infections, otitis media, pharyngitis and tonsillitis, and acute flare-ups of chronic bronchitis.
