Description

Azivib 500 LB is a tablet from Vibcare Pharma. Each tablet contains Azithromycin 500mg and Lactic Acid Bacillus 60Million Spores, and it belongs to the antibiotic and anti-infective (antibacterial) class with a probiotic alongside. It is packed as 10x3 (Blister) and comes from Vibcare Pharma's Prima division.

How it works

The azithromycin in this tablet is a macrolide antibiotic. It works by stopping susceptible bacteria from growing, so the infection can be brought under control. Lactic acid bacillus is a probiotic, meaning it supplies friendly bacteria to the gut. Antibiotic therapy can disturb the normal balance of bacteria in the intestines, and the probiotic is included to help support that balance while the course of antibiotic is being taken.

Used for

Doctors prescribe Azivib 500 LB for mild to moderate infections caused by susceptible bacteria, such as acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, acute bacterial sinusitis, community-acquired pneumonia in patients who are suitable for oral therapy (it is not for pneumonia patients judged inappropriate for oral treatment because of moderate to severe illness or risk factors), pharyngitis and tonsillitis, uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections, and urethritis and cervicitis.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
