Description

Azivib 250 LB is a tablet from Vibcare Pharma's Prima division. Every tablet carries Azithromycin 250 mg and Lactic Acid Bacillus 60 Million Spores. It belongs to the antibiotic and anti-infective (antibacterial) group, with a probiotic included in the same tablet. The product is packed as 10x6 (Blister).

How it works

The way it works is twofold. Azithromycin is a macrolide antibacterial that stops susceptible bacteria from growing, which allows the body to deal with the infection. Lactic Acid Bacillus is a friendly bacterium normally found in the gut. It helps keep the usual balance of intestinal bacteria while an antibiotic is being taken, which is why a probiotic is added alongside the antibiotic.

Used for

These tablets are used for mild to moderate bacterial infections such as throat and tonsil infection, sinus infection, flare-ups of long-standing bronchitis, community-acquired pneumonia suitable for oral therapy, certain skin infections, and urethritis or cervicitis.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
