Description

Cefvib 100 is an antibacterial tablet marketed by Vibcare Pharma. Every tablet provides Cefixime 100 mg, a medicine of the cephalosporin group. It is packed as 10x10 (Alu Alu) and is supplied from Vibcare Pharma's Prima division.

How it works

The active ingredient, Cefixime, is a semisynthetic cephalosporin. Its work is to stop bacteria from forming a complete cell wall, which weakens and destroys them. Because of this action, Cefvib 100 is used only for infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by bacteria, so that antibacterial resistance is not encouraged.

Used for

Cefvib 100 is used in the treatment of uncomplicated urinary tract infections, otitis media, pharyngitis and tonsillitis, and acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis due to susceptible organisms.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
