Description

Jemcef 100 is an antibiotic tablet from Vibcare Pharma. Each tablet contains Cefixime 100 mg. It belongs to the cephalosporin class of antibacterial medicines. The tablets are packed as 10x10 (Alu Alu) and come from Vibcare Pharma's Auspin division.

How it works

Cefixime in Jemcef 100 is a semisynthetic cephalosporin antibiotic. It acts by preventing bacteria from building the cell wall they need to stay alive. When the cell wall cannot be completed, the bacteria break down and the infection is brought under control. Like other antibacterials, it is meant only for infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by bacteria.

Used for

Jemcef 100 is used for uncomplicated urinary tract infections, otitis media, pharyngitis and tonsillitis, and acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis caused by susceptible bacteria.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
