Description

Odoxicef CV (10 Pack) is a tablet formulation from Vibcare Pharma containing Cefpodoxime 200 mg and Clavulanic Acid 125 mg. It belongs to the antibiotic class, as a cephalosporin antibiotic paired with a beta-lactamase inhibitor. The product is packed as 10x10 (Alu Alu) and is offered from Vibcare Pharma's Prima division.

How it works

Each tablet delivers Cefpodoxime, which kills susceptible bacteria by interrupting the building of their cell wall. The Clavulanic Acid component defends the antibiotic from beta-lactamase enzymes made by some bacteria; by blocking these enzymes, it allows cefpodoxime to keep working against bacteria that would otherwise break it down.

Used for

This medicine is used for mild to moderate infections caused by susceptible bacteria, including pharyngitis and tonsillitis, acute otitis media, community-acquired pneumonia, and acute bacterial exacerbation of chronic bronchitis.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
