Description

Odoxicef CV WFR Dry Syrup is a dry syrup from Vibcare Pharma. It contains Cefpodoxime 50 mg and Clavulanic Acid 31.25 mg, and it belongs to the antibiotic and anti-infective (antibacterial) class. The pack is 60ml. This product comes from Vibcare Pharma's Prima division.

How it works

Cefpodoxime is a cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by damaging the cell wall of susceptible bacteria, so the bacteria are unable to survive. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor. It blocks the resistance enzymes that some bacteria produce, which allows the antibiotic to carry on working against them.

Used for

This syrup is used for mild to moderate bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms, such as acute otitis media, pharyngitis and tonsillitis, community-acquired pneumonia and acute bacterial exacerbation of chronic bronchitis. Significant or persistent diarrhoea, during or after treatment, should be reported to a doctor.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
