About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Norflovib TZ is an antibacterial and antiprotozoal tablet from Vibcare Pharma's Prima division. Each tablet contains Norfloxacin 400 mg and Tinidazole 600 mg. It is packed as 10x2x10 (Blister).

How it works

Norfloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibacterial that blocks bacterial DNA copying, so the bacteria causing the infection cannot multiply. Tinidazole is a nitroimidazole antimicrobial that damages the DNA of certain protozoa and anaerobic bacteria from inside the organism. Together, the two ingredients cover bacteria and protozoa affecting the intestine.

Used for

The tablets are used for bacterial diarrhoea and dysentery and for mixed infections of the intestine where both bacteria and protozoa are suspected, as prescribed by a doctor.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
