Description

Moxivib CV Plus WFR Dry Syrup is a dry syrup for oral suspension from Vibcare Pharma's Prima division. Each dose pair gives Amoxycillin 400 mg with Clavulanic Acid 57 mg. It falls in the penicillin antibiotic class along with a beta-lactamase inhibitor. It is packed as 30ml.

How it works

Amoxycillin, the antibiotic part, works by blocking cell wall formation in susceptible bacteria so that they are killed. Clavulanic acid does not act on bacteria by itself; it works by disabling the beta-lactamase enzymes that some bacteria make to break down amoxycillin. Together the two ingredients let the antibiotic stay active against bacteria that would otherwise resist it.

Used for

This syrup is used for lower respiratory tract infections, acute bacterial otitis media, sinusitis, skin and skin structure infections, and urinary tract infections caused by susceptible bacteria. It must also be avoided in patients with mononucleosis.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
