Description

Revmox CV Dry Syrup (WFR) is a dry syrup (syrup) from Vibcare Pharma. The formulation carries Amoxycillin 200 mg and Clavulanic Acid 28.5 mg, and it is classified as an antibiotic combination of a penicillin-class antibacterial with a beta-lactamase inhibitor. Packed as 1's, this item is marketed through Vibcare Pharma's Evermed division.

How it works

The Amoxycillin in the syrup kills susceptible bacteria by interrupting the build-up of their cell walls. Clavulanic Acid plays a supporting role: it inhibits beta-lactamase enzymes produced by some bacteria, so that amoxycillin is not inactivated and can act on the infection.

Used for

Doctors use this syrup for susceptible infections such as lower respiratory tract infections, acute bacterial otitis media, sinusitis, skin and skin structure infections, and urinary tract infections due to beta-lactamase-producing bacteria. Use should be avoided in patients with mononucleosis.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
