Description

A dry syrup for oral suspension, Yetomox CV Plus Dry Syrup (WFR) is made by Vibcare Pharma and marketed through its Auspin division. The formula contains Amoxycillin 400 mg and Clavulanic Acid 57 mg per dose pair. Its class is penicillin antibiotic with a beta-lactamase inhibitor. The product is packed as 30ml.

How it works

In this combination, amoxycillin damages the cell wall of susceptible bacteria until they die. Clavulanic acid supports it by blocking the beta-lactamase enzymes that certain bacteria produce to inactivate amoxycillin. The inhibitor keeps the antibiotic working against these enzyme-producing organisms.

Used for

Doctors prescribe this syrup for lower respiratory tract infections, acute bacterial otitis media, sinusitis, skin and skin structure infections, and urinary tract infections caused by susceptible bacteria. Use is to be avoided in patients with mononucleosis.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
