Esovib HP Kit is an H. pylori therapy kit of Clarithromycin, Esomeprazole and Amoxycillin tablets used to eradicate H. pylori in adults. Main uses: eradication of Helicobacter pylori infection in adults, to reduce the risk of duodenal ulcer recurrence; used together as a combination therapy pack for H. pylori therapy; lowered stomach acid from esomeprazole supports healing of the stomach and duodenal lining.

Common side effects of Esovib HP Kit Tablet include nausea; diarrhoea or loose stools; abdominal pain; vomiting; headache; change in taste (dysgeusia). Get medical help at once if you notice severe allergic reactions including anaphylaxis; stop the medicine and seek help at once; severe skin reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome; stop at the first signs and contact a doctor; liver problems with jaundice or hepatitis; the medicine must be stopped.

The three ingredients work together in different ways. Clarithromycin is a macrolide antibiotic that stops bacteria from making the proteins they need to grow. Amoxycillin is a penicillin-type antibiotic that weakens the bacterial cell wall so bacteria cannot survive. Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that blocks the acid pump in the stomach lining and lowers stomach acid, which helps the stomach and duodenal lining settle and supports the action of the two antibiotics.

Must not be used by patients allergic to clarithromycin, erythromycin or any macrolide antibiotic. Must not be used by patients with a serious allergy to amoxycillin, penicillins or cephalosporins. Must not be used by patients allergic to esomeprazole or other substituted benzimidazoles. Must not be used together with cisapride, pimozide, ergot alkaloids, lovastatin, simvastatin or rilpivirine-containing products. Must not be used by patients with a history of cholestatic jaundice or liver dysfunction with clarithromycin use.
