About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Oflarb MS Suspension is an oral liquid suspension that combines Ofloxacin 50 mg, Metronidazole 120 mg and Simethicone 10 mg, the strengths as stated on the pack. It belongs to the antibacterial and antiamoebic (anti-infective) class of medicines and is packed as 60ml. It is offered by Vibcare Pharma's Prima division.

How it works

Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that stops susceptible bacteria from multiplying by acting on their DNA. Metronidazole is a nitroimidazole that works against susceptible anaerobic organisms and intestinal parasites such as amoebae and Giardia. Simethicone is an anti-gas agent that breaks up gas bubbles trapped in the gut, helping to ease pressure and bloating.

Used for

This suspension is used for bacterial gastroenteritis and diarrhoea caused by susceptible organisms, for intestinal amoebiasis and giardiasis, and for the gas and bloating that come with these infections. Stop the medicine and contact a doctor immediately at the first sign of tendon pain, numbness or tingling, or central nervous system symptoms such as confusion or depression.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
