About the product
By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references
Vormib Plus is an anthelmintic tablet that contains Albendazole 400 mg and Ivermectin 6 mg. It is an anti-worm medicine used in worm (helminth) infections. The product comes packed as 20x2x1 (Blister) and is available from Vibcare Pharma's Prima division.
Albendazole works by blocking the uptake of glucose and nutrients by the worms, which weakens and eliminates them over time. Ivermectin acts on the nerve and muscle cells of the parasites, causing paralysis and death of the worms. Together, the two ingredients act on worms in different ways.
Vormib Plus is prescribed for the treatment of intestinal strongyloidiasis caused by Strongyloides stercoralis, onchocerciasis caused by Onchocerca volvulus, parenchymal neurocysticercosis due to larval forms of the pork tapeworm, and cystic hydatid disease of the liver, lung and peritoneum. Use in pregnancy must be avoided except when no alternative management is appropriate, and women of reproductive potential should have a pregnancy test before treatment.
Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
