About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Vormib Plus Drops is an oral suspension made by Vibcare Pharma and available from its Prima division. Every formulation contains Albendazole 200 mg and Ivermectin 3 mg. This medicine belongs to the anthelmintic (anti-worm) class. The product is packed as 10ml.

How it works

This suspension brings together two anti-worm agents. Albendazole is a benzimidazole medicine that acts on susceptible worm parasites in the body. Ivermectin acts on chloride channels in the nerve and muscle cells of worms, causing their paralysis and removal from the body. Together the two ingredients act against worm parasites named in the medicine information.

Used for

Vormib Plus Drops is used for intestinal threadworm infection (strongyloidiasis) caused by Strongyloides stercoralis, for onchocerciasis caused by Onchocerca volvulus, and under a doctor's care for neurocysticercosis caused by larval pork tapeworm and cystic hydatid disease caused by larval dog tapeworm. Albendazole can cause serious bone marrow suppression and liver abnormalities during treatment, so blood counts and liver enzymes should be checked before starting and at regular intervals when treatment is prolonged or repeated; the medicine should be stopped and medical advice sought if significant changes are found.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
