Description

A broad-spectrum bactericidal antibiotic and is effectively used to treat urinary tract infections. (Laishram Shakti, 2015) The first-line therapy for the treatment of uncomplicated lower urinary tract infections. (Squadrito & Daniel del Portal, Nitrofurantoin , 2021) A bactericidal agent against most common urinary tract pathogens, including Escherichia coli, Enterococci, Klebsiella, Staphylococcus saprophyticus, and Enterobacter. (Squadrito & Daniel del Portal, Nitrofurantoin , 2021) An effective therapeutic agent for the treatment of acute lower tract infections, chronic urinary tract infections, and for the suppression of catheter-associated bacteria. (B A Cunha, 1988) A well-tolerated drug that exerts good antimicrobial and clinical efficacy in the treatment of acute uncomplicated urinary tract infections in adults. (Arturo Mendoza-Valdes, 2010) Possesses good microbiological efficacy for chronic urinary tract infections caused by common uropathogens, with clinical cure rates varying between 79% and 92%.
