Description
Pregamount M 75 comes from Vibcare Pharma's Evermed division as a capsule for the neuro and neuropathy class. It contains Pregabalin 75 mg and Methylcobalamin 750 mcg in each capsule, packed as 10x15 (Alu Alu).
How it works
Pregabalin binds to calcium channels in nerve tissue, which lowers the release of pain signals and helps to limit seizures. The methylcobalamin in the capsule is an active vitamin B12 that helps nerves stay healthy and work normally.
Used for
The capsule is meant for neuropathic pain linked with diabetic peripheral neuropathy, postherpetic neuralgia and spinal cord injury, and it is also used for fibromyalgia and as add-on therapy for partial-onset seizures. Pregabalin can increase suicidal thoughts or behaviour, and a doctor's help must be taken at once if such thoughts appear or worsen. Breathing depression may occur alongside sedating medicines or existing breathing problems and needs monitoring. Dizziness and sleepiness can impair driving and machinery work.
