About the product
By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references
Yetzone T is a sterile injection that combines Ceftriaxone 1 gm with Tazobactam 125 mg in each unit. It is classified as a cephalosporin antibiotic with a beta-lactamase inhibitor. The product is packed as 1's and comes from Vibcare Pharma's Auspin division.
In this combination, Ceftriaxone acts on the bacterial cell wall and stops the growth of susceptible bacteria. Tazobactam supports it by inhibiting beta-lactamase enzymes, which are the enzymes that certain bacteria release to destroy antibiotics. By blocking these enzymes, Tazobactam helps Ceftriaxone stay active against bacteria that produce them.
Doctors use Yetzone T for the treatment of infections caused by susceptible bacteria, including lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, intra-abdominal infections, pelvic infections, septicaemia, bone and joint infections and meningitis.
Given only by a doctor or nurse.
