About the product
By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references
Phylovib XT is a syrup from Vibcare Pharma's Prima division. It combines Acebrophylline 50 mg, Guaiphenesin 50 mg and Terbutaline 1.25 mg. This is a respiratory medicine that acts as a mucolytic, expectorant and bronchodilator. The syrup is packed as 100ml.
Acebrophylline thins and loosens thick mucus and helps the airway muscles relax. Guaiphenesin works as an expectorant and loosens phlegm, thinning bronchial secretions so they can drain from the bronchial tubes. Terbutaline acts as a bronchodilator and relaxes the muscles around the airways, easing bronchospasm and allowing air to pass more freely. Together, these three agents make the mucus thinner and the airways more open.
The syrup is used to loosen thick chest mucus and ease cough, and to relax the airways in reversible bronchospasm seen with bronchitis, asthma and emphysema. Asthma can worsen over hours or days, and bronchodilator treatment alone may not control it; if it gets worse or more doses than usual seem needed, see a doctor for reassessment and possible anti-inflammatory treatment.
Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
