About the product
Description
Junior syrup combining ambroxol 15 mg, levosalbutamol 0.5 mg and guaiphenesin 50 mg per 5 ml for wet (productive) cough with chest congestion in children. Ambroxol thins thick mucus and helps the airway lining clear it. Guaiphenesin increases the water content of airway secretions so phlegm is easier to cough up. Levosalbutamol, the active form of salbutamol, relaxes the airway muscles and eases wheeze and chest tightness. Together they loosen, thin and help clear mucus while making breathing easier.
Side Effects
Tremor, palpitations, fast heartbeat, nervousness, headache, dizziness and muscle cramps (from the bronchodilator); nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, loose stools; rash or allergic reactions (rare)., Low blood potassium can occur at high doses., Use with caution in heart disease, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes and epilepsy., Should not be taken with cough suppressant medicines or with non-selective beta-blockers., Not for use in children under 2 years except on a doctor's advice, or in patients allergic to any of the ingredients.
Indication
Productive cough with thick sputum and bronchospasm in acute bronchitis and other respiratory tract infections , Wet cough with wheeze in children, as prescribed
