Read our full guide: Azithromycin: uses, dose, side effects and brands
Everazi 250 is the tablet form of Azithromycin 250 mg, brought out by Vibcare Pharma. The tablets belong to the macrolide antibacterial antibiotic class and are packed as 30x6 (Blister). They are supplied from Vibcare Pharma's Evermed division.
How Everazi 250 acts depends on its one ingredient, Azithromycin 250 mg. This macrolide antibacterial halts the growth of susceptible bacteria, allowing the body to deal with the infection that remains.
Doctors prescribe these tablets for mild to moderate infections caused by susceptible bacteria: pharyngitis and tonsillitis, acute bacterial sinusitis, acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, community-acquired pneumonia, uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections, and urethritis and cervicitis. Azithromycin has been linked to QT prolongation and torsades de pointes, a heart rhythm problem that can be fatal, and some studies indicate an approximately two-fold increased short-term potential risk of acute cardiovascular death in adults; this potential risk should be balanced against the benefits of treatment.
Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
