About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

From Vibcare Pharma's Evermed division, Calcilam Forte is presented as a capsule. Every capsule carries Calcitriol 0.25 mcg together with Calcium Citrate Malate 500 mg, Zinc Oxide 7.5 mg and Magnesium Oxide 50 mg. The preparation falls in the calcium and vitamin D class of bone health products. It comes packed as 10x1x10 (Blister).

How it works

In this capsule, calcitriol works as the active form of vitamin D and improves calcium absorption from the gut. Calcium citrate malate is the calcium salt that gives the body calcium for building and maintaining bones. Zinc oxide contributes zinc for normal bone formation and mineral metabolism, while magnesium oxide adds magnesium, which takes part in bone mineralisation and in how calcium is handled.

Used for

Calcilam Forte is used for the management of hypocalcaemia and its clinical features, for metabolic bone disease with defective mineralisation, and as mineral and vitamin D supplementation for bone health.
