Pilovib cream relieves pain, itching, soreness and discomfort from piles, anal fissures and pruritus ani. Main uses: relief of itching, pain, soreness and discomfort of the anal area; hemorrhoids (piles); anal fissures; pruritus ani (itching around the anus); similar irritations of the anal area.

Common side effects of Pilovib Cream include transient stinging or burning where the skin is open; lightening (blanching) of the skin at the site of use; redness of the skin; skin irritation or dryness at the site of use; mild itching after application; burning sensation at the site of use. Get medical help at once if you notice severe allergic reaction such as rash, swelling of the face or difficulty breathing; skin thinning or stretch marks with prolonged use; severe eye irritation if the cream enters the eye.

Pilovib Cream contains Calcium Dobesilate 0.25w/w + Lignocaine 3w/w + Hydrocortisone Acetate 0.25w/w + Zinc Oxide 5w/w. The right dose and how long to take it depend on the condition, age and other medicines, so use Pilovib Cream only as your doctor advises.

In the cream, each part has its own job. Lignocaine numbs the skin and eases pain and itching, while Hydrocortisone Acetate calms inflammation, redness and the urge to scratch. Calcium Dobesilate acts on small blood vessels to lessen leaking and swelling in the area, and Zinc Oxide lays down a protective film over chafed, irritated skin.

Must not be used by anyone with a known allergy to any of its ingredients or to amide-type local anaesthetics. Must not be used on tuberculous or fungal skin lesions, or on vaccinia, varicella or acute herpes simplex lesions. Must not be applied into the eyes, in the mouth, inside the nose or in the ears, and must not be swallowed. For external use only: must be applied on the outer skin of the anal area and not used internally unless the product label specifically permits it. Check with a doctor first: children, pregnancy or breastfeeding, liver problems, use of antiarrhythmic medicines, or if symptoms worsen or last more than 7 days.
