About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Carvivib 3.125 is a tablet formulation from Vibcare Pharma. Each tablet contains Carvedilol 3.125 mg. It belongs to the class of alpha/beta-adrenergic blocking agents, also known as beta-blockers with an additional vessel-relaxing action. The product is packed as 10x10 (Blister).

How it works

Carvedilol in these tablets works on two types of receptors in the body. By blocking beta-adrenergic receptors it reduces the effect of stress hormones on the heart, so the heart beats with less effort and at a slower rate. At the same time, its alpha-1 blocking action helps relax and widen blood vessels. Together these actions lower the workload on the heart and help bring down raised blood pressure.

Used for

Carvivib 3.125 is prescribed for the management of essential hypertension, for mild to severe chronic heart failure of ischemic or cardiomyopathic origin (usually along with diuretics, ACE inhibitors and digitalis), and to reduce cardiovascular mortality in clinically stable patients who have survived the acute phase of a myocardial infarction and have a left ventricular ejection fraction of 40% or less, with or without symptomatic heart failure.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
