About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Oravib Gel is a topical oral gel from Vibcare Pharma. Each gram of the gel contains Choline Salicylate 8.7% w/w, Lignocaine 2.0% w/w and Benzyl Chloride 0.02% w/w. It falls in the dermatology and topical group, for dental and oral pain relief. The gel is packed as 10gm and it comes from Vibcare Pharma's Grace division.

How it works

Choline Salicylate is a salicylate that eases pain and brings down inflammation in the mouth lining where the gel is placed. Lignocaine is a local anaesthetic that numbs that exact spot, so the sore area stops hurting for a while. Benzyl Chloride is present in a very small amount, and the available label information does not state its exact role. Working together at the application spot, the ingredients give relief where it is needed.

Used for

The gel is used for temporary relief of pain and discomfort from mouth ulcers, sore or inflamed gums, denture and braces sores and other minor injuries inside the mouth, and it also numbs irritated mouth surfaces.

Read the label, and ask a doctor or pharmacist if unsure.
