About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Dapavib S Trio is an oral tablet that brings three anti-diabetic medicines together in one form: Dapagliflozin 10 mg, Sitagliptin Phosphate 100 mg and Metformin 500 mg. It falls under the anti-diabetic class and is packed as 10x10 (Alu Alu). The brand comes from Vibcare Pharma's C.U.R.E. division.

How it works

Dapagliflozin acts in the kidney so that less glucose is reabsorbed into the blood and extra sugar leaves the body in urine. Sitagliptin slows the breakdown of incretin hormones released after meals, which helps the pancreas put out insulin when blood sugar is high. Metformin reduces the glucose made by the liver and helps the body respond to its own insulin.

Used for

These tablets are used along with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Metformin can cause lactic acidosis, a rare but serious build-up of lactic acid in the blood; the risk rises with kidney problems, heavy alcohol intake, dehydration, liver disease, surgery or contrast imaging studies and age 65 or above, so tell your doctor about these and seek urgent help for malaise, muscle pain, breathing difficulty, sleepiness or stomach pain. Ketoacidosis can occur and may appear without a big rise in blood sugar, so seek urgent help for nausea, vomiting, stomach pain or unusual tiredness. Genital and urinary infections can occur, so monitor for signs of genitourinary infections such as itching, burning, discharge or frequent urination and see a doctor promptly; genital or perineal pain, redness or swelling with fever or malaise needs urgent evaluation.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
