About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Vildavib D 100/10 is a tablet that contains Dapagliflozin 10 mg and Vildagliptin 100 mg. It belongs to the anti-diabetic class of medicines and is packed as 10x10 (Alu Alu). It is a Vibcare Pharma product.

How it works

Dapagliflozin acts on the kidney by blocking the SGLT2 transporter, so less glucose is taken back into the blood and extra glucose leaves the body in urine. Vildagliptin works in a different way: it blocks the DPP-4 enzyme and raises incretin hormone levels, which helps the pancreas release insulin when blood sugar goes up and reduces glucose output from the liver. Together, the two ingredients help bring blood sugar levels down.

Used for

This tablet is used with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Genital or urinary infections can occur; genital or perineal pain, redness or swelling with fever or malaise needs urgent evaluation for Fournier's gangrene. Ketoacidosis can occur even when blood sugar is not high, so seek urgent medical help for nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, unusual tiredness or troubled breathing regardless of blood glucose level.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
