About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Dazivib 5 is an oral tablet from Vibcare Pharma's Prima division. Each tablet contains Desloratadine 5 mg. It belongs to the anti-allergic and anti-histamine class of medicines, and is supplied as 10x10 (Alu Alu).

How it works

Desloratadine, the single ingredient in this tablet, is a long-acting antihistamine. It blocks the action of histamine at the H1 receptor in the body. When histamine is held back in this way, the allergic response that causes sneezing, a runny or blocked nose, watery eyes, itching and hives is eased. It is a selective H1-receptor antagonist with tricyclic structure.

Used for

Dazivib 5 is used for relief of the nasal and non-nasal symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis and of perennial allergic rhinitis, and for symptomatic relief of itching, with a reduction in the number and size of hives, in chronic idiopathic urticaria, in patients 12 years of age and older. If a hypersensitivity reaction such as rash, itching, swelling or difficulty in breathing occurs after taking it, the medicine must be stopped at once and a doctor consulted for an alternative treatment. Use only on a doctor's prescription.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
