Description

Dazivib M is a tablet made by Vibcare Pharma and supplied from the Prima division. Every tablet carries Desloratadine 5 mg and Montelukast 10 mg as its active ingredients. The medicine falls under the anti-allergic and anti-histamine class. It is packed as 10x10 (Alu Alu).

How it works

In this combination, Desloratadine acts as an H1 antihistamine. It blocks the histamine receptors that drive sneezing, itching, a runny nose and hives during an allergic reaction. Montelukast works on a different pathway as a leukotriene receptor antagonist. It blocks cysteinyl leukotrienes released in the nasal lining and airways after allergen exposure, easing swelling, congestion and nasal symptoms during both early and late allergic reactions.

Used for

Dazivib M is used for relief of the nasal and non-nasal symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis and for symptomatic relief of itching with a reduction in the number and size of hives in chronic idiopathic urticaria. Watch for neuropsychiatric symptoms such as agitation, aggression, depression, sleep disturbances or suicidal thoughts; if they appear, stop the medicine and contact a healthcare professional.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
