Vibospas S Suspension is an anti-spasmodic and anti-gas medicine used for abdominal cramps and gas bloating. Main uses: relief of cramp-like abdominal spasm and pain in functional bowel / irritable bowel syndrome; relief of the pressure and bloating commonly referred to as gas; eases abdominal discomfort linked to trapped wind in the gut.

Common side effects of Vibospas S Suspension include dry mouth; dizziness; blurred vision; nausea; drowsiness or sleepiness; weakness and tiredness. Get medical help at once if you notice rapid or irregular heartbeat, flushing or worsening of heart conditions; fever or heat stroke because of reduced sweating; stop the medicine and seek care; confusion, delirium or hallucinations, especially in elderly or mentally ill patients.

Inside the suspension, Dicyclomine Hcl works on the gut in two ways: it blocks acetylcholine at muscarinic sites and it acts directly on the smooth muscle, so cramp-like spasm of the stomach and intestines is eased. Simethicone acts in the gut by loosening the surface of trapped gas bubbles, letting them join together and pass out, which lowers gas pressure and bloating.

Must not be used in infants less than 6 months of age or by nursing mothers. Must not be used by patients with glaucoma, myasthenia gravis, obstructive uropathy or blockage of the stomach or intestines. Must not be used in severe ulcerative colitis or reflux oesophagitis. Must not be used when cardiovascular status is unstable during acute bleeding. Check with a doctor first in pregnancy, in elderly patients and in patients with heart or cardiovascular disease, liver or kidney disease.
