Description

Folivib DHA is a capsule from Vibcare Pharma's Prima division. Each capsule provides Docosahexaenoic Acid 200 mg, L-Methylfolate 1 mg, Pyridoxal 5-Phosphate 0.5 mg and Methylcobalamin 1500 mcg. It is a nutritional supplement used in women's health, and it is packed as 10x1x10 (Blister).

How it works

Docosahexaenoic Acid is an omega-3 fatty acid that adds to the daily DHA intake needed by the mother and the growing baby. L-Methylfolate is the active form of folate and is used by the body for normal cell growth, DNA synthesis and the conversion of homocysteine to methionine. Pyridoxal 5-Phosphate, the active form of vitamin B6, supports the use of amino acids and normal blood cell formation, while Methylcobalamin, an active form of vitamin B12, supports red blood cell formation and normal nerve function.

Used for

The capsule is used as nutritional support to improve the nutritional status of women during pregnancy and in the postnatal period, for both lactating and non-lactating mothers.
