About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Urivib T from Vibcare Pharma contains Dutasteride 0.5 mg and Tamsulosin 0.4 mg in tablet form. It belongs to the class of medicines that combine a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor with an alpha-adrenergic antagonist, used in urology care. Each pack is 10x10 (Alu Alu), and the product comes from Vibcare Pharma's Genvimax division.

How it works

Two ingredients work in different ways to help BPH symptoms. Dutasteride blocks both forms of the 5-alpha-reductase enzyme, which slows the change of testosterone into DHT, the hormone mainly behind prostate enlargement. Tamsulosin acts on alpha 1A-adrenoreceptors and relaxes the smooth muscle of the prostate and bladder neck, so urine passes more easily. Together, they address both the size of the gland and the tightness around the outlet.

Used for

The tablets are used for the treatment of symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia in men with an enlarged prostate. PSA levels fall during treatment, so regular check-ups are needed.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
