About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Ferlib XT Plus is a tablet from Vibcare Pharma's Prima division. Each tablet contains Ferrous Ascorbate 100 mg, Folic Acid 1.5 mg and Zinc Sulphate Monohydrate 22.5 mg. It belongs to the haematinic and anti-anaemic class of medicines and is packed as 3x10 (Alu Alu).

How it works

In this tablet, ferrous ascorbate gives iron in a form that supports haemoglobin making, and the ascorbate part helps the iron get absorbed. Folic acid is a B vitamin the body uses for red blood cell formation and normal cell division. Zinc is a mineral that supports the enzymes involved in blood cell formation and everyday body function. Working together, the iron and folic acid help address low iron and folate levels in the body, while zinc supports the body's everyday mineral needs.

Used for

Ferlib XT Plus is used for iron deficiency anaemia, folate deficiency anaemia, and prevention and treatment of iron deficiency in pregnancy where a folic acid supply is also needed. Keep it out of the reach of children, as accidental overdose of iron can be fatal in young children; get medical help at once if an overdose happens.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
