About the product
By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references
Viblactone F is a tablet from Vibcare Pharma. Every tablet carries Frusemide 20 mg together with Spironolactone 50 mg. The medicine belongs to the class of diuretic (water tablet) combinations. It is packed as 5x2x10 (Blister) and comes from Vibcare Pharma's Prima division.
Frusemide works on the kidney tubules to increase the amount of water and salt passed out in the urine, which brings down swelling caused by extra fluid. Spironolactone blocks the action of aldosterone in the kidney, so sodium and water leave the body while potassium is retained. Because spironolactone holds potassium back, blood potassium can rise during treatment and has to be checked regularly.
Viblactone F is used for swelling and fluid build-up caused by congestive heart failure, cirrhosis of the liver and kidney disease including nephrotic syndrome. Potassium should be checked within one week of starting or increasing the dose and regularly after that, and kidney function monitored from time to time.
Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
