About the product
By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references
Vibogat Eye Drop is an eye drop made by Vibcare Pharma. Each millilitre contains Gatifloxacin 0.3%w/v. It falls under the quinolone antimicrobial class of ophthalmic medicines. The drops are packed as 5ml and come from Vibcare Pharma's Optho division.
Gatifloxacin, the ingredient in Vibogat Eye Drop, is a quinolone antimicrobial. It works by inhibiting the bacterial enzymes needed for DNA replication, so the bacteria cannot copy themselves. Used as drops, the medicine reaches the bacteria present on the eye where the infection is active.
This medicine is used for bacterial conjunctivitis caused by susceptible strains of Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Streptococcus mitis group, Streptococcus oralis, Streptococcus pneumoniae and Haemophilus influenzae.
Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
