Viglim Trio 2/0.2 tablets combine glimepiride, metformin and voglibose to improve blood sugar control in type 2 diabetes. Main uses: adjunct to diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus; helps lower post-meal blood glucose levels; helps improve overall glycemic control when diet and exercise alone are not enough.

Common side effects of Viglim Trio 2/0.2 Tablet include low blood sugar (hypoglycemia); nausea; diarrhoea; flatulence (gas); stomach pain or discomfort; dizziness. Get medical help at once if you notice severe hypoglycemia; lactic acidosis (rare, linked to metformin); hemolytic anemia in patients with G6PD deficiency.

The three ingredients act in different ways. Glimepiride, a sulfonylurea, moves the pancreas to release more insulin.
