Hydrovib 100 Injection New is a hydrocortisone injection for severe allergic, adrenal, skin and bowel conditions. Main uses: these uses are those listed for hydrocortisone injection given when tablets cannot be taken; control of severe or incapacitating allergic conditions such as asthma, drug hypersensitivity reactions and serum sickness; severe skin disorders such as pemphigus, bullous dermatitis herpetiformis and Stevens-Johnson syndrome; primary or secondary adrenocortical insufficiency and congenital adrenal hyperplasia; hypercalcemia associated with cancer and nonsuppurative thyroiditis.

Common side effects of Hydrovib 100 Injection New include fluid retention and swelling; rise in blood sugar levels; rise in blood pressure; increased appetite and weight gain; mood changes and difficulty sleeping; thinning of the skin, easy bruising and acne. Get medical help at once if you notice severe allergic reactions including anaphylaxis and angioedema; cardiac arrhythmias and circulatory collapse; thromboembolism and thrombophlebitis.

It must not be used in patients with a known allergy to hydrocortisone or any of its ingredients. It must not be used in patients with systemic fungal infections. It must not be given by intrathecal injection. It must not be given epidurally, as severe nerve-related events, some resulting in death, have been reported with epidural use of corticosteroids and this route is not an established use. It must not be given by intramuscular injection for idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura.
