Vibogest 500 Injection is a progesterone hormone injection used in gynaecology for stopped periods and hormone-related abnormal uterine bleeding. Main uses: only if this injection is the hydroxyprogesterone caproate ester: primary and secondary amenorrhoea (stopped periods) in non-pregnant women; only if this injection is the hydroxyprogesterone caproate ester: abnormal uterine bleeding caused by hormonal imbalance when no organic uterine problem such as submucous fibroids or uterine cancer is present; only if this injection is the hydroxyprogesterone caproate ester: production of a secretory endometrium and desquamation of the uterine lining; only if this injection is the hydroxyprogesterone caproate ester: as a test for the body's own estrogen production; only if this injection is the hydroxyprogesterone caproate ester: treatment of advanced adenocarcinoma of the uterine corpus (Stage III or IV) in non-pregnant women.

Common side effects of Vibogest 500 Injection include nausea; vomiting; abdominal cramps or bloating; breakthrough bleeding, spotting or withdrawal bleeding; breast tenderness; weight gain or weight loss. Get medical help at once if you notice blood clots in veins or arteries, including deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism; heart attack or stroke; eye problems such as retinal thrombosis or optic neuritis.

Hydroxyprogesterone is a man-made form of the hormone progesterone. Must not be used if you have known or suspected breast cancer or any other hormone-sensitive cancer, or a history of these conditions. Must not be used if you have a missed abortion, a current or past thrombotic or thromboembolic disorder, or a known allergy to hydroxyprogesterone or any progestin.
