About the product
By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references
Letrovib 2.5 is a tablet formulation from Vibcare Pharma's Genvimax division. Each tablet contains Letrozole 2.5 mg, and it belongs to the aromatase inhibitor class of hormone therapy medicines used in gynaecology and women's health. The product is packed as 10x5 (Blister).
In postmenopausal women, oestrogen is produced mainly when the aromatase enzyme converts adrenal androgens into oestrone and oestradiol. Letrozole blocks this enzyme, so the amount of oestrogen made in the body and in the breast tissue falls. Some breast cancers grow with the help of oestrogen, and lowering oestrogen levels helps to slow the growth of these hormone-sensitive tumours.
Letrovib 2.5 is used for the adjuvant treatment of postmenopausal women with hormone receptor positive early breast cancer, for extended adjuvant treatment after 5 years of tamoxifen, and for first-line treatment of postmenopausal women with hormone receptor positive or unknown advanced breast cancer. It is also used as second-line treatment of postmenopausal women with advanced breast cancer that has progressed following antiestrogen therapy. Females of reproductive potential should have a pregnancy test before starting and use effective contraception.
Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
