About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Iptrovib Respules are respules for inhalation with a nebuliser, made by Vibcare Pharma and available from the company's Prima division. Each respule contains Levosalbutamol 1.25 mg and Ipratropium Bromide 500 mcg. It belongs to the Respiratory and Anti-Asthmatic class of medicines and is packed as 4x5x2.5ml.

How it works

Levosalbutamol is a beta-2 adrenergic agonist that relaxes the smooth muscle of the airways, from the trachea to the small bronchioles, and helps the air passages remain open. Ipratropium Bromide is an anticholinergic that blocks the action of acetylcholine at muscarinic receptors in the bronchial smooth muscle and stops the airways from tightening. The two actions together support easier airflow through the lungs.

Used for

These respules are used to treat or prevent bronchospasm in patients with reversible obstructive airway disease and for relief of bronchospasm associated with COPD, including chronic bronchitis and emphysema.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
